 Cielo Dorado, Anthony, NM  - Distress Evaluation Study

A distress evaluation study for a residential property located at 24 Cielo Dorado of Anthony, New Mexico. The property is less than 2 years old, and that the current owner has owned the property for less than two years. Some of the perimeter walls showed signs of distress. In particular, the retaining walls near the swimming pool at the back of the property showed evidence of distress by the way of tilting and separation.  The swimming pool had in the past shown evidence of significant loss of water. A geotechnical study was performed to evaluate the probable causes of the problem, and to provide geotechnical aspects of possible remedy.

 Broadmoor Street, El Paso, Texas – Distress Evaluation

A distress evaluation study for a residential property located at Broadmoor Street on the Westside of El Paso, Texas. At the time of the investigation, it was estimated that the property could be as old as 25 years. It is our understanding that the current owner has owned the property for about five years. Some of the walls outside the building area have shown signs of distress. Particularly, two of the retaining walls near the pool and the wall along the outside fence at the back of the property have shown evidence of distress by the way of tilting. The tilting is in the order of 10 to 20 degrees for approximately 33% of the length of the wall at the back. The interior walls near the north and south sides of the pool showed evidence of separation in some places. A geotechnical study was performed to evaluate the probable causes of the problem.

 Distress Evaluation Rehabilitation Study – El Paso Airport Reservoir, El Paso, TX-  

A distress evaluation study was performed for a water reservoir, and prepared geotechnical recommendations on possible causes of cracks on column capitols that appeared possibly after repair construction started to rehabilitate the reservoir. Recommendations for underpinning, water seepage prevention, and slope stabilization were also provided.
